Chapter Nine

How could Van deny his mate a request like that?

He grabbed onto his lover, putting one hand beneath the man’s ass and lifting him up into his arms. Not bridal-style, however. He was only walking three feet with him, so there wasn’t much of a point.

Conrad still wrapped his arms around Van’s neck and held on tight, however. Van loved it.

He dumped his mate down on the couch. It was older, but still incredibly soft, and Van was immediately grabbing onto every article of clothing that Conrad wore and yanking it away from his mate. With each torn button and each shredded bit of fabric, more of that skin was exposed, more of the musky scent filled the air, thickening it.

The only things that weren’t destroyed were the man’s shoes, and that was only because his little fox had hurried to toe them off before Van could damage the old leather.

When Conrad was naked, and only then, he climbed on top of the man, laying his body flat on Conrad’s, their cocks pressing together, and he delighted in the hissed intake of breath that Conrad released.

“Was this what you had in mind when you demanded that I remove your clothes?” Van asked.

Conrad ran his fingers through the short strands of Van’s hair. He was going to have to trim it again shortly, but he didn’t mind the way that Conrad touched him. Conrad laughed at him, and he continued to run his hands through Van’s hair. Had he been a cat shifter, he might have purred.

“This is perfect,” Conrad said. “This is perfect.”

Two perfects within five seconds of each other. Van was doing something right then. He leaned down and pressed another deep and lingering kiss to Conrad’s mouth. The motion of their lips was slow, and Van savored it. He took delight in enjoying the way he could part Conrad’s mouth with his tongue, and the clean taste of the man as Van licked his tongue deep.

He adored how his little fox even sucked on Van’s tongue as he moaned.
